What is bacteria?
The word bacteria is just a plural of bacterium. Bacteria are tiny living things that are neither plant nor animal. Bacteria belong to their own group of beings but are also microorganisms . Bacterium is a single cell microorganism that is about a few micrometers in length and are in groups of millions. When most people think of bacteria they think of the bad kind called pathogens, but most bacteria are the good kind..very friendly called benign. Wearing headphones for just an hour will increase the bacteria in your ear by 700 times - good and bad so it's the problem is not the bacteria, it's the balance between good and bad and when the bad gets too great that's when we get sick.
Bacteria are prokaryotes (Kingdom Monera), which means that they have no true nucleus. A nucleus is pretty much the basis for things in the body such as growth and activity/movement. The dictionary defines the nucleus as: The central and most important part of an object, movement, or group, forming the basis for its activity and growth. The Kingdom Monera is a very interesting group.

On the top of this text we have Madi the pig and Nadia the sheep. When we feed these animals we are either promoting good bacteria or bad bacteria. For example, if you feed Madi apples you are promoting a healthy lifestyle. But, if you are feeding her sugar then you are promoting an unhealthy lifestyle. The more sugar you feed your body the more bad bacteria you have in your body. Bad bacteria can promote diseases and even obesity. But, if we eat healthy like Nadia the sheep then we will be promoting good bacteria leading to a better, healthier lifestyle.
